One seller publishes milligrams. The other says none were ever published. Neither publishes a CFU count. Sodatide sale from $49. Claim it

Editorial Policy and Verification Methodology

How claims on this site are sourced, checked, ruled on and corrected.

Written by Callum Beattie Medically reviewed by Dr. Priya Raghunathan, PharmD, BCNSP Updated 10 September 2026 How we review

Every claim on this site traces to one of three things: the product label, a source we can cite, or a page the seller put online. Where those sources disagree about what Sodatide even contains, we show all of them.

How we rule on a claim

  1. Name the source for every statement. Each claim here is traced to the brand's own supplied artwork or to one of the two named selling pages, so you can check it yourself.
  2. Never invent a formula. Where no ingredient list can be sourced we say so, rather than reproducing one of the unsourced versions that circulate online.
  3. Compare every amount with its research. Inulin is studied at 5–10 g; the published figure is 211 mg. We publish both, for every component.
  4. Report what is undisclosed as undisclosed. We never estimate an amount, an allergen or a sugar content that nobody has published.
  5. Compare every source that describes the product. Where the brand's artwork and a seller disagree, or two sellers disagree, both versions are published here.
  6. Separate format from formula. A capsule's convenience can be assessed on its own terms; its contents are ruled on separately.
  7. Say what cannot be known. Where the honest answer is that no source publishes something, that is the answer we give rather than a confident guess.
  8. Lead with the medical message. A product bought for energy and vitality gets the see-a-doctor line near the top, not buried at the bottom.
  9. Pharmacist review. Safety and interaction wording is checked by a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
  10. Date it. Every page carries published and updated dates, because selling pages change.

Why we never estimate an undisclosed amount

It would be easy to write “probably a 20% bacoside extract” and it would read authoritatively. It would also be invented. Where an amount is not published we print that it is not published, and reason from what can be checked — the blend total, the ingredient's known research range, the delivery route — instead of filling the gap with a guess.

Sourcing standards

We cite primary sources — government health agencies, peer-reviewed indexes and regulator guidance. We do not cite other affiliate pages, and we never treat a seller's claim as evidence for itself. The sources we rely on most:

On describing the pages that sell this product

Where we describe what a page publishes, we describe only what is verifiable on that page at the time of writing — the ingredients it lists, the amounts it discloses, the badges it shows, the guarantee it states and where its order links point. We draw no conclusion about anyone's intent.

Corrections

If a figure, price or policy statement here is wrong, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it and note the change. If you have a photograph of the actual Supplement Facts panel from a bottle you received, we would particularly like to see it — a panel showing per-ingredient amounts would improve this site more than anything else could.

What our reviews are not

They are not medical advice and not a substitute for seeing a doctor. They are not clinical trials of the finished product — no such trial exists, and we say so. And they are never a reason to delay assessment of unexplained weight change or persistent digestive symptoms, or to reduce any prescribed treatment.

Independence

We earn affiliate commission on qualifying purchases. No manufacturer reviews, approves or pays for our content. The critical findings published here — the two ingredient lists, the absent CFU count, the disputed amounts, the gap against the studied doses — are findings a brand-controlled page would have deleted.
